History Café: Macedonia,

The HCC of SW presents the History Caffee. We will discuss the recent history of Macedonia, its people and the emancipation of the various ethnic local groups and the falsification of the history of the region by the pre and post WWII communist propaganda. A discussion will follow after a short presentation of the history of the region after the 18th century. You can place individual orders of dinner or snacks, wine, beer. The HCC will only serve dessert (guess what) and coffee sponsored by Lolaark LLC.

For those who don't know him, this is commander Kottas or more correctly Kote, born lived and died in Macedonia. He starts his career as a bandit trying to protect local villagers from the arbitrary demands and burdens of local landlords. He gradually transforms into a romantic revolutionary leader against the Bulgarian expansionism, the Ottoman occupation, fighting for the emancipation of the local population of Macedonia and the transfer of land ownership to local tenants, For more information, join us for the HistoryCafé.
