The Battle of Crete in 1941 is a hallmark event of the military history of WWII.

With our guest Dr. Blytas the author of “The First Victory: Greece in the Second World War”, we will commemorate the events and explore the impact of this military operation in the unfolding of the nazi campaign against the Soviet Union.

We will also show some archival footage and we will close with the German reprisals against Cretan civilians and allied troops.
